ABSTRACT

Selaginella willdenowii, commonly known as Wildenow’s spikemoss, is a perennial herbaceous plant that climbs with dense, branched leaves that are bluish-green in color. This fern can be found in damp places such as waterfalls or rocks along riverbanks. Selaginella willdenowii plays an important role in ecology, one of which is as a bioindicator of environmental change. In addition, Selaginella willdenowii also has economic potential as it can be used as food, traditional medicine, handicrafts, and plays a role in supporting the social life of local communities
